After evaluating our existing loan program, we discovered an important insight — while our small loans gave BSJ service project teams immediate financial access to kickstart their initiatives, many teams faced challenges breaking even. In several cases, students had to repay loans from their own project funds, which ultimately defeated our core mission of making financial accessibility sustainable. To solve this, Project Donate is partnering with KitaBisa, Indonesia’s leading crowdfunding platform, to launch #BSJYouthMakers — a new hybrid loan + crowdfunding model designed to empower every BSJ student team.​

Through this collaboration, project teams — whether or not they’ve taken a loan — can now access additional financial support through KitaBisa’s platform to help them break even, scale their initiatives, and give back more to their chosen charities.​ Our goal is simple: to create a sustainable financial ecosystem where innovation, compassion, and community impact reinforce one another.
